Frequently Asked Questions

You will have the option of on line through zoom, or a phone call. The first session will involve getting to know each other, and what you would like to work on. We will approach the session like a conversation and I will ask you key questions. What you share and how you share it will be up to you!

The first sessions we will be developing an awareness of values, interests and areas of life that are important to you. We will exp0lore how you would like to BE while you achieve the changes you are going through. We will talk about your challenges and how you can move forward with ease. We also discuss whatever if most important to you at the time.

You will be given resources and strategies to cope in a healthy way with any stress you may be experiencing. Often when we try to move forward, we may experience increased stress. I will support you through this process.

This depends on what you prefer for communication and frequency of communication to suite your needs. I am available in between sessions for motivational messages or for a quick conversation. We will tailor this based on your preferences and needs. In between sessions, you will be making steps that you have identified to move forward. We will modify these steps to ensure your success.

You need to have the desire to make progress and to have a level of commitment to do the work in between sessions. You need to be ready to invest in yourself the time and energy you deserve.  The sessions are guided by me, but the topics are directed by you, and the results are all due to your focus while you are receiving proper support!

Both coaches and counselors want to move their clients forward but their focus may be different.

Counselors and therapists from various backgrounds and training are able to work with a diagnosis. Depending on the type of therapy there may be a focus on root causes of present situations. Each counselor and therapist have varying degrees, and training focus areas.

Lifecoaching is based mostly on your present circumstances and your future goals. The focus is not on the past or diagnosing issues and concerns. A lifecoach works as your guide collaboratively to get you moving forward towards your growth. A lifecoach may provide you with a referral to a counselor if that is what you would like, so that you can work in depth on past or present issues. Often lifecoaching works well in conjunction with counseling and other helping professions.

You will experience progress during and after the first session. Every session you will be able to take away something learned or an action item to move forward. As we get to know each other over time, and trust develops we will be able to explore more and lay a foundation for lasting results. The more energy and focus put into your SELF, the larger the impact. Results often last a lifetime!

I abide by the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches and Mentors. I will review this code with you at the beginning of our sessions.
